Threshold, Dancing Across and into Summer
Still sun in the sky, sending a message down
to the roots in the crossroads of the earth.
This is the solar time of year, when the woods
howl a cacophony of ritual humming, creatures
alive in the dream of midsummer,
dancing in the in-between, reaching up.
Just a reminder that there's no right way to do this. If you write one, please share it with me (subscribers can comment on this post!), share it on our paid subscriber chat, or post it on Instagram. My handle is @K8belew.
The Threshold Beckons
A silent and still sun climbs to its peak.
Roots barrel into the earth, ensuring greenery remains steadfast.
Yet, a crossroads, complete with Her beckons. Persephone prepares again, Hecate awaits.
Solar winds entice flowers and ferns to dance.
The woods, rustling, beckon furry ones to shade and shadow.
Creature of the Crossroads, we shall meet when the night sky is an inky black
Summer’s seasonal demise starts again as Hades’s mouth slowly opens.
