A scrapbook of my creative life
What I’ve been inspired by this week…
Queer devotion! This past week on the Magick & Alchemy podcast by Tamed Wild Charlie Claire Burgess joined Kristin Lisenby and me for our third conversation about creative magic. Charlie is a queer and trans-nonbinary author and artist working at the intersection of spirituality and queerness. In this conversation, they discuss queer deities, word witchery as devotion, tugging on the threads of stories, and working with fantasy as a portal. Charlie gives advice on embracing the words "Word Witch" or "writer," and also speaks about creative rituals. They discuss tarot, the card of the year for 2026, and the importance of knowing how to fall and how to get back up to fight again. Listen here.
I am inspired to ask better questions. Curiosity is magic.
Join me on Tuesday, February 17th, in the Tenth House Rising by Tamed Wild for Self-Love Magic! Let's cast a love spell. The month of February is often associated with love and romance. In this hour-long class, we'll dive into the ancient origins of Valentine's Day, discussing Lupercalia and other myths of the heart. From these stories, we'll talk about different rituals and practices for cultivating a self-love practice, heart-opening, and we'll culminate with a ritual for tapping into this inspired place. Learn more here.
Need to do more research into Evangeline Adams.
This moment.
I wrote about the history of Lupercalia for Tamed Wild here!
Famous love letters (some of my favorites are between Federico Garcia Lorca and Dali)
