What I’ve been inspired by this week…
The fact that the Earth might be trapped inside a giant void in space. heyimsarah writes, “this void so happens to have little scruffy dogs, national parks, live music, art, nieces, and nephews, Mexican food, Saturdays, Octobers, all my friends, and movies.” Read more on Vice here.
The Biophilia writing workshop returns! A writing workshop inspired by biology and the wild ecological web we all belong to. Join me and
for a 90-minute writing workshop (free and donation-based) on Friday, July 25th, at noon EDT. During this gathering, you'll learn, discover, inquire, and be inspired by four to six biological and ecological happenings. This time, we'll commune with nocturnal creatures, be inspired by night-blooming flowers, and follow the beings who see through the dark, asking them to guide our pens. You'll be invited to listen for the howl of the coyote and look for the green wings of the luna moth. With each missive and prompt, you'll be encouraged to look at our more-than-human nocturnal kin as creative messengers. This writing workshop will guide you through creating writing, poetry, and prose in response to the strangeness of our planet, a reminder that we, too, are nature, and we can find new ways to see in the dark. Magic Jewelry in NYC is the first place I had my aura photo taken nine years ago. In a special conversation
and I had last week (more soon on the Magick & Alchemy Podcast), I remembered this special place. I’m due for another aura photo soon!
Manicures/pedicures as energy work. I need to develop my thoughts on this further, but I think this is an excellent way to practice color magic, set intention, and release old energy.
